Five killed in Khulna bus plunge

Khulna: Five people were killed and 14 others injured when a bus plunged into a roadside ditch on Khulna-Satkhira road at Bortia on Thursday, reports UNB. The identities of the deceased could not be known yet. Habil Hossain, officer-in-charge of Dumuria Police Station, said the Khulna-bound bus from Paikgaccha upazila fell into a roadside ditch when its driver lost control over the steering around 12:45 pm, leaving five people dead on the spot and 14 others injured. On information, police recovered the bodies and sent those to Khulna Medical College and Hospital morgue for autopsy.
