Baby with multiple limbs born

A baby was born with two heads, four arms and two legs at a private hospital in Jhenidah town yesterday. As the news spread hundreds of people from fur-flung areas are coming to the hospital to have a glimpse of the child.
According to hospital sources, Shila Aktar, wife of Sazedul Islam of Baliadanga village in sadar upazila, gave birth to the baby boy at the Prince Hospital. The boy was later shifted to Jhenidah Sadar Hospital for better treatment.
Shila Aktar said she is worried about the future of the baby. Gynecologist of Jhenidah hospital Chalantika Rani said, “We have not enough support to treat the baby in sadar hospital. The baby needs proper care and treatment as soon as possible.”
Jhenidah Institute of Health Technology Principal Dr Dulal Chandra Chakrabarty said if the lung and heart of the baby are found fit, the limbs might be separated through surgical operation in Dhaka.
