3 killed in bus plunge in Sirajganj

Sirajganj: Three people were killed and 27 others injured as a bus plunged into a roadside ditch at Patdhari under Solonga police station yesterday afternoon, reports UNB. The deceased was identified as Rafiqul Islam, 42, a college teacher, Abdullah, 30, of Patdhari village and Asadul, 33, of Baguda village. The Bogra-bound bus from Pabna hit a rickshaw-van and then plunged into a roadside ditch after its driver lost control over the steering, leaving three people dead on the spot, said officer-in-charge of Hatikumrul highway police station Abdul Quader Zilani. The injured were sent to different local hospitals.
