The fourth Security Dialogue between Bangladesh and the United States will be held in Washington today to discuss traditional and non-traditional security issues alongside counterterrorism and military cooperation.
Both sides will also discuss regional cooperation, cyber security, disaster management and United Nations peacekeeping activities.
Secretary (Bilateral and Consular) of the Foreign Ministry Mizanur Rahman is already in Washington to lead a six-member Bangladesh delegation comprising representatives from Foreign Ministry, Home Ministry, Defence Ministry and the Armed Forces Division.
The US side will be headed by Todd C Chapman, Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Bureau of Political-Military Affairs at the State Department.
