Sylhet AL president passes away

President of Sylhet district unit of Awami League Abduj Johir Chowdhury Sufian died of cancer at his residence at Shagordigipar in the city on Wednesday afternoon. He left behind his wife and host of relatives. His namaz-e janaza was held at Dorga Madrassa after Zohr prayers yesterday.  Later, he was buried at Mazar graveyard. At the death of veteran politician Sufian, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, Suranjit Sengupta, Nurul Islam Nahid, Badar Uddin Ahmed Kamran, Shofik Chowhuroy, Ahmed Al Kobir and local Awami League, BNP and others party leaders expressed their deep shock. Sufian was a dedicated leader in Sylhet AL. He worked for party interest until his death.
