Ode to an old pot

We announce with deepest sorrow the passing of our Mejho Dekchi at the age of 38 years.
Mejho burnt to death in a freak accident while helping some green papayas lay down their lives.

Mejho is survived by two other members of the Yellow family. Chapta, missing in action. Chhoto, the youngest member of the family, leads an uneventful existence, helping potatoes and eggs serve their purpose in life.

They have all served us well over the years.

Mejho’s remains will be taken to its caretaker’s home, where it will be sanded with loving care.

Please pray that it is reborn someday as a kettle or some other useful utensil in some blacksmith’s somewhere.
