Robi’s sports platform My Sports has received the license for internet and digital broadcasting of FIFA World Cup in Bangladesh from FIFA.
This license paves the way for Robi and Airtel’s My Sports subscribers to watch the World Cup matches live on their mobile phones. Robi made the announcement at a press conference held in the capital yesterday evening.
Speaking at the event, Robi’s Managing Director and CEO, Mahtab Uddin Ahmed said: “We are very proud to be able to serve the football fans of the country with the ultimate sporting entertainment of the world- FIFA World Cup matches LIVE on their mobile phones. Now, you don’t have to be glued to the TV to be in touch with the LIVE match of your favourite team or miss it for an untimely electricity load-shedding in your area.”
Live Media's Chairman Sharif Uddin said: "We are happy to serve sports lovers and now My Sports is the leading sports App where people can watch HD quality live football & cricket matches, our vision is to push My Sports one step further to have real 4.5G experience."
