Around 128 Additional District Judges will get car facilities for official purposes as the Ministry of Finance has agreed on May 29 after the approval of the Public Administration Ministry on this issue. A press release of the Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs yesterday said that the Chief Judicial Magistrates working in the rank of additional district judge in 64 districts of the country are using government cars. But the additional district judges did not get that benefit. There were frustrations among the additional district judges.
To remove the frustration of additional district judges law minister Anisul Haq promised to provide government car facilities to the judges of the lower judiciary at a function. At the same time, he ordered Abu Saleh Sheikh Md. Zahirul, secretary to the law and justice division, to take the initiatives. Then, on January 15 this year, proposals were sent to public administration ministry for approval of 128 cars which will be used for official works of additional district judges. The Ministry of Public Administration agreed on the proposal on April 18 and provided the consent of the finance division.
On May 7, Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs sent a proposal to the finance ministry. On May 29, the finance division gave the letter to the law and justice division to this end.
