State Minister for Women and Children Affairs Meher Afroze Chumki yesterday underscored the need for enabling the womenfolk in information technology (IT) to turn them into skilled workforces so that they can contribute to the economy, reports BSS. “Literacy in information technology is a must to empower women. Bangladesh cannot be a developed country if the womenfolk, half of the total population, remain backward in information technology,” she told a seminar at Jatiya Mahila Sangstha conference room on Bailey Road here.
