Khayer on fresh 7-day remand

A court here yesterday placed Abul Khayer on a seven-day fresh remand over his alleged involvement in the murder of blogger Ananta Bijoy Das.
Judge Sahedul Karim of Sylhet Metropolitan Magistrate Court-1 passed the order when CID Inspector Arman Ali, produced him before his court seeking a 15-day remand. Earlier on September 2, police arrested Khayer at Tukerbazar area in city on suspicion of his involvement in the killing of the blogger. On the same day, the court placed him on a seven-day remand.
Meanwhile, CID police also arrested photojournalist Idris Ali, two siblings Mannan Rahi and Muhaymin Numan for this case. Among them Mannan Rahi confess his involvement of killing Ananta at the court.
