President hosts iftar for PM, eminent citizens

President Abdul Hamid hosted an iftar party in honour of the Prime Minister, Speaker, Chief Justice, cabinet members, MPs, foreign diplomats, eminent citizens and high-ranking military and civil officials at Bangabhaban yesterday, reports UNB. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, Speaker Dr Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury, Chief Justice Syed Mahmud Hossain, former President HM Ershad and Leader of the Opposition Raushon Ershad attended the event. Foreign Minister AH Mahmood Ali, Finance Minister MA Muhith and Agriculture Minister Matia Chowdhury were also present. President's wife Rashida Khanom and other family members also joined the iftar.
