Grand Master Ziaur Rahman finished 13th in 3rd Kolkata International Open Grandmasters Chess Tournament-2018 which ended in Kolkata yesterday.
GM Zia earned 6,5 points out of 9 games and tied for 7th to 18th places, in tie-breaking system GM Zia became 13th.
GM Narayanan Srinath of India became champion and GM Deepan Chakkraborty also of India became runner-up with 7.5 points each. A total of 205 players from 13 countries including 27 grandmasters, 2 women grandmasters, 29 International Masters and 7 Women International Masters participated in the event.
