Adulterated ghee factory busted

Detective Branch (DB) of police early yesterday busted adulterated Ghee factory at country’s largest wholesale market Khatanganj in the city. DB also arrested two siblings along with ingredients of producing Ghee during the drive. The arrestees were identified Md Kamal Uddin, 28, and Sazzad Hossain, 19, sons of Md Younus hailing from Paitya upazila in Chattogram. “Acting on a trip-off we have conducted a drive at first floor of Ananda Supper Market at Khatanganj and busted the factory. They are involved in producing and marketing adulterated Ghee in Chattogram,” said Alok Biswas, additional deputy police commissioner of Chattogram Metropolitan Police (CMP). A case was filed with city’s Kotwali Police Station in this connection, said Alok.
