A faction of Awami League (AL)-backed teachers of Jahangirnagar University (JU) called a two-hour work abstention from tomorrow (Tuesday) on the campus to protest the alleged violation of university acts, statutes and syndicate conducting rules by JU VC Professor Farzana Islam.
The work abstention will start from 10 am and continue till 12pm while JU VC office will be besieged. Spokesman of ‘Bangabandhur Adarsha O Muktijuddher Chetonay Bishwashi Pragatishil Shikkhak Shamaj’ Associate Professor Farid Ahmed made the disclosure of their programme yesterday at a press conference held at the conference room of JU Mathematical and Physical Sciences faculty.
