Anti-drug drive to continue to save youth: Home minister

Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan yesterday said the drive against illegal drugs will continue to save the youth of the society, reports UNB. "We want to work together against illegal drugs as the illegal narcotics items have appeared as a big challenge for us," he said.

The Home Minister was addressing at Zero point of Gulistan in the city after inaugurating countrywide anti-drug awareness campaign by Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) yesterday afternoon.

Inspector General of Police Dr Javed Patwari and RAB's Director General Benazir Ahmed were also present among others.

The Home Minister said that the awareness campaign against illegal drugs has been conducted following the instruction of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

In the meantime, police and RAB have already started anti-drug countrywide drive, the Home Minister said.
