Parliament gets Tk 332.53cr budget for new fiscal year

The Parliament Secretariat Commission on yesterday approved a Tk 332.53 crore budget for Parliament to spend on its development and non-development expenditures for the next fiscal year (2018-19), reports UNB.

The approval was given at the 29th meeting of the Commission held at the Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban with Speaker Dr Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury in the chair.

Of the total budget, Tk 298.43 crore will be spent on non-development sector while Tk 34.18 crore on development sector.

The approved budget is Tk 17.62 crore more or 5.60 per cent higher than the revised budget of the current fiscal.

The meeting also approved the projected budget for the 2019-20 and 2020-21 fiscal years. It also okayed the revised budget of the outgoing financial year (2017-18).
