42 meritorious students awarded at NSU
A total of 42 meritorious students were awarded full and partial scholarships for their outstanding results in the admission test of Summer 2018 under the North South University (NSU) scholarship scheme.
Abu Saleh Sheikh Md Zahirul Haque, secretary, Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Ministry, distributed awards among the students at an orientation ceremony held on NSU Bashundhara campus on Saturday, says a press release.
Mohammed Shajahan, Chairman, NSU Board of Trustees, attended the programme as the special invitee, MA Hashem and MA Kashem, Members, BOT, NSU also addressed the event. The programme was chaired by Prof Atiqul Islam, Vice-Chancellor, NSU. Registrar AH Lutful Hassan delivered the welcome speech.
North South University (NSU) warmly welcomed a total of 1,403 newly enrolled students of Summer 2018.
Orientation held at Gono Bishwabidyalay
An orientation programme for the newly enrolled students of April session of Gono Bishwabidyalay was held on its campus in Savar yesterday, says a press release.
University Vice-Chancellor (Acting) Prof Laila Parveen Banu presided over the programme. Registrar Md Delowar Hossain, Dean, Faculty of Arts Social Sciences Prof Monsur Musa, Dean, Faculty of Physical Mathematical Sciences Prof Hasin Anupama Azhari, Dean, Faculty of Veterinary and Animal Sciences Prof Mostafizer Rahman and Controller Mir Murtoza Ali addressed the programme among others.
The Speakers of the programme discussed on basic rules of academic and administration of the university.
Earlier, an oath taking programme for the new comers was held at National Martyrs Memorial in Savar. Vice-Chancellor (Acting) Prof Laila Parveen Banu conducted the ceremony.
