Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) in a daylong drive on Friday filed 1,980 cases on charges of traffic rule violation, reports BSS.
Traffic division in their simultaneous drives on the city streets also realised over Taka 5.50 lakh as fine, said an official release. As many as 145 cases were lodged for driving on the wrong sides, 28 other cases for using hydraulic horn, four for using hotter and beckon light and three others for using tinted glass. Some 38 cases, including 25 video cases, were lodged against drivers of different modes of vehicles on charges of talking over mobile phone while they were driving.
