Gold bars worth Tk 2.5 cr seized at Ctg airport

CHATTOGRAM: Customs intelligence and investigation officials seized 45 gold bars worth Taka about 2.5 crore from a flight at Chittagong's Shah Amanat International Airport yesterday noon.

On a tip-off, the officials recovered the gold bars, weighing 5.5-kg, from the toilets in an abandoned condition of the flight which came from Jeddah, said Assistant Commissioner of the Customs Intelligence and Investigation Directorate (CIID) Uttom Biswas said.
