Youth hacked dead in Savar

Savar: A young man was hacked to death and his brother was injured by some criminals at Uttar Kolma in Savar Sadar union on Saturday morning over previous enmity, reports UNB.

The deceased is Ershad Sikder, 33 while the injured is Alam Shikder, sons of Hiru Sikder.

Sohel Rana, chairman of Savar Union Parishad, said Saidul, Nazmul, Atik and Miraj called the two brothers out of their house in the morning and hacked them indiscriminately, leaving the duo critically injured.

Later, the they were rushed to Enam Medical College and Hospital where Ershad succumbed to his injuries.

On information, police recovered the body, said Mohsinul Kadir, officer-in-charge of Savar Model Police Station adding that police also arrested a man in connection with murder.
