Case filed, one sent to jail

A case was filed accusing six persons including Adnan Mirza over the murder of schoolgirl Tasfia Amin in Chittagong on Wednesday. Tasfias father Mohammad Amin filed the case with Patenga Police Station on Thursday noon.
Md Zahedul Islam, assistant commissioner of Chittagong Metropolitan Police (CMP) said that Tasfias father filed a case accusing six persons including Adnan Mirza over the murder of Tasfia on Thursday. However, the police officer didnt disclose the other names for the sake of investigating and nabbing accused.
On Wednesday morning Patenga police recovered the body of Tasfia Amin, 15, a ninth grader of Sunshine Grammar School, from riverside of the Karnaphuli at Patenga Naval Road area in Chittagong.
Later on Wednesday night, police arrested victims friend Adnan Mirza,17, from Jalalabad Housing Society area of Chittagong city. Tasfia went out for outing with Adnan from her residence at OR Nizam Road area at about 3:30pm on Tuesday, according to her family members.
Patenga Police produced Adnan to a Chittagong court on Thursday afternoon seeking 10-day remand. The court of Metropolitan Magistrate Abu Salem Md Noman fixed next Sunday (May 6) for hearing the remand plea and sent Adnan to jail, said Nirmolendu Bikash Chakrabarty, additional deputy commissioner (prosecution) of CMP.
