The outgoing ambassador of Thailand Madurapochana Ittarong called on Foreign Minister A H Mahmood Ali at the latter's office here yesterday, reports BSS. During the meeting, the foreign minister expressed his gratitude on behalf of the government of Bangladesh to the Thai government for holding the special meeting on the management of irregular migration in Bangkok on May 29 this year. Mentioning Bangladesh as one of the major exporters of pharmaceuticals, the foreign minister proposed for exchange of business delegation between Bangladesh and Thailand. He thanked the Thai ambassador for her sincere efforts in strengthening bilateral relations and expanding economic cooperation between the two countries. Mahmood Ali wished her good health and success in her next working station back home. Madurapochana Ittarong informed Mahmood Ali about the interest of Thai investors in the area of exploration of minerals and petroleum resources in the Bay of Bengal.
