The theme of the day this year is "Healthy Labour, Safe Life: Ensure Sustainable Life".

At present, the country has 83 lakh economic units and it will take time to bring all units under the department, he added.
He said the government will build Professional Health and Safety Academy at Rajshahi to establish the rights of labourers.
On the other hand, the government has taken initiatives to establish a specialized hospital for labourers at Narayanganj at an estimated cost of about Taka 4 crore, he added.
The state minister said Bangladesh has seven green factories among the 10 in the world.
Chunnu said all International Labour Organization's (ILO) enlisted countries observe the Professional Health and Safety Day on April 28.
Bangladesh will also observe the programme in a befitting manner, he said.
Marking the day, a discussion will be held at Krishbid Institute auditorium here. President Abdul Hamid is expected to attend the discussion as the guest, Chunnu said.
