Barishal: A daylong art camp for children with special needs held at Jibanananda Memorial Auditorium of the city on Wednesday afternoon.
Barishal district unit Bangladesh Shishu Academy arranged the programme which was inaugurated by Habibur Rahman, deputy commissioner Barishal.
Pankaj Roy Chowdhury, district children affairs officer, gave welcome address at the programme participated by 110 children from different institutions.
Avijit Chowdhury and six other artists directed the camp which was fifth in the country and first in Barishal.
The camp was arranged for the children with special needs, to ensure the recognition of their dignity, to promote their self- reliance, and to facilitate their active participation in the community, the organisers said.
