Armed muggers shot a trader and snatched Tk5 lakh from his possession at Shympur under Kadamtali police station in the capital yesterday. The injured was identified as Kamruzzaman Sumon, 35, a rockeries businessman. He was rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital, said DMCH police outpost In-charge Mozammel Haque. Quoting the victim he said the trader took a rickshaw after withdrawing Tk 5 lakh from BRAC Bank branch at Dholaipar in the capital yesterday. As soon as I got in the rickshaw, three armed muggers riding on a black motorbike shot me and snatched the money around 11am, the victim said.
