A delegation of the Confederation of British Industry (CBI) arrives here today morning on a two-day visit to share ideas and experiences of operating in the region and explore trade and investment opportunities, reports UNB.
Simon Moore, CBI’s International director and Shehla Hasan, CBI India country head and policy director will be in Dhaka for two days and meet policy think-tanks, business leaders, and academics.
This is going to be their first visit to Bangladesh, according to British High Commission in Dhaka.
UK Trade and Investment, the commercial arm of the UK government in Bangladesh will also host a networking event with the leading British Business community in Bangladesh.
Acting British High Commissioner to Bangladesh Mark Clayton said there is a long standing and rich relationship between Bangladesh and the United Kingdom and he hoped the CBI’s visit will help further strengthen the trade opportunities for UK businesses in Bangladesh.
The CBI is the UK’s premier business lobbying organisation, and with offices in the UK as well as representation in Brussels, Washington, Beijing and Delhi, it communicates the British Business voice around the world.
