Girl assaulted for �refusing love proposal�

A college girl was assaulted by four young men in Demra area of the capital yesterday allegedly for refusing a love proposal, reports UNB. Police arrested three of the assaulters after the victim filed a case with Demra Police Station in this regard. Victim’s elder sister Shilpi said the four youths waylaid the girl at Konapara around 1pm when she was returning home after providing tuition at a local residence. They physically assaulted her when she refused a love proposal offered by one of them. The hoodlums kicked and punched her, and hit her in the head with a brick. The victim was taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where she received treatment at the One-stop Crisis Centre.
