Men’s team fail to reach final

India Overseas Bank outplayed Bangladesh national men’s team 99-67 in the semifinal of All India International Basketball Tournament in Kolkata yesterday.

Mithun Biswas with 32 was the top scorer for Bangladesh. Tareq Aziz (12) and Sohaib (10) were the other two Bangladeshi cagers to reach double figure.

Bangladesh women’s team went down to South Western Railway by 91-56 and to Raktim Sangha 75-41 in their two matches during last two days.

The men’s and women’s national basketball teams will return home today.
