Water levels in 37 river stations monitored by Flood Forecasting and Warning Centre (FFWC) have marked rises and 43 stations recorded falls, reports BSS. Among the 85 monitored water level stations, three river stations have been registered steady while 23 stations have been recorded flowing above danger level, a bulletin issued by FFWC said yesterday. In the next 48 hours, the overall flood situation in places of Gaibandha, Jamalpur, Bogra, Serajganj districts in the north-western part and Manikganj, Rajbari, Munshiganj, Shariatpur districts in the central part of the country may slightly deteriorate while in the districts of North-Eastern part the overall flood situation may likely to improve. The Dharla at Kurigram, Ghagot at Gaibandha, karatoa at Chak Rahimpur, Brahmaputra at Chilmari, the Jamuna at Bahadurabad, Sariakandi and Serajganj, the Gur at Singra, Atrai at Baghabari, Dhaleswari at Elasin, Lakhya at Lakhpur, the Padma at Goalundo, Bhagyakul, Kobadak at Jhikargacha, Surma at Kanaighat, Sylhet, Sunamganj, Kushiyara at Amalshid, Sheola, Oldsurma at Derai, Kangsha at Jariajanjail and the Titas at Brahmanbaria are flowing above their respective danger levels by 40cm, 56cm,2cm, 38cm, 61cm, 71cm,70cm, 49cm, 148cm, 78cm, 40cm, 2cm, 36cm, 16cm, 42cm, 122cm, 39cm, 42cm, 86cm,60cm,57cm, 73cm and 58cm.
