Social Welfare Minister Syed Mohsin Ali was taken to Singapore yesterday noon with life support for better treatment as he suffered a heart attack, reports UNB. Maidul Islam, information officer of the ministry, said the minister was flown to Singapore in an air ambulance around 12:30pm as his condition deteriorated. He said Mohsin Ali will be admitted to Mount Elizabeth Hospital, Singapore.
Maidul said a doctor of the hospital arrived here with the air ambulance from Singapore and took him there for better treatment. The minister’s wife and daughter also accompanied him.
The minister was admitted to Birdem Hospital on Thursday with various complications, including pneumonia and kidney problems. He was on life support at the hospital. On Friday noon, he suffered a heart attack while undergoing treatment at the ICU and was kept under mechanical ventilation since then.
