BNP leader Babul freed on bail

BNP climate change affairs assistant secretary Mostafizur Rahman Babul was released from jail on bail on Monday, reports UNB. He walked out of Kashimpur Central Jail, Gazipur around 12 noon after the jail authorities received his bail order, BNP assistant office secretary Belal Ahmed told UNB. On February 24 last, detectives arrested Babul from in front of BNP’s Nayapaltan central office on his way back home after joining their party's sit-in programme there demanding Khaleda Zia's release from jail. Babul was the president of Chhatra Union during the 90's anti-Ershad movement. Later, he joined BNP.
