A -39 member Jordan national football squad including 23 players arrived in Dhaka yesterday to play their World Cup Qualifying away match against Bangladesh.
The match will be held on September 8 at the Bangabandhu National Stadium.
Jordan coach Paul Put in his reaction immediately after their landing at the Shahjalal International Airport that it would be an important match for them and they will take Bangladesh seriously.
Jordan, who began their qualifying campaign with a 3-1 win against Tajikistan, drew with Kyrgyzstan by 0-0 at home ground.
Paul Put, the Belgian coach, who joined the team in June, replying to a query said, “Ranking would be no matter, performance in the field is important but the condition is different here in Bangladesh and I think it is important to adapt with the atmosphere.”
Meanwhile, Bangladesh played three matches while they could manage one draw with Tajikistan 1-1 at home and conceded 3-1 defeat to Kyrgyzstan and went down to Australia by 5-0 in Perth.
