Ahead of the African tours, Bangladesh A team will fly for India to play a string of matches on September 13.
During the tour, the visitors will play three ODI and two three-dayers with their Indian counterparts and Ranji Trophy 2014-15 champions Karnataka.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) have confirmed the schedule for Bangladesh ‘A’ tour of India, 2015. The tour will begin with three One-day matches against India ‘A’ followed by a three-day game against Ranji Trophy 2014-15 champions, Karnataka.
?The Bangladesh ‘A’ team will conclude the tour with another three-day match against India ‘A’ in Bengaluru.
The one day matches will be held on September 16, 18 and 20 at different venues of Bengaluru. The first three-dayer will be held at Mysore from September 22-24,
while the second and last three-dayer will be staged at Bengaluru from September 27-29.
Keeping the home series with Australia in mind, selectors and head coach are planning to send a balance team with the blend of national and out of national players.
“Bangladesh A team is abruptly touring to India. They will leave the country for India on September 13. They will return home from there on September 30,” said chief selector Faruque Ahmed.
“We have prepared a preliminary squad for the tour. We will finalise it after talking with head coach,” Faruque also said.
The team will be announced for the tour two days before their departure for India.
After the end of the last home series with South Africa, Bangladesh Head coach Chandika Hathurusingha left the country for Melbourne to pass his vacation with family. He is slotted to come in Dhaka today.
Bangladesh-A team will go for a month-long tour in Africa on October 15. First, they will head to Johannesburg in South Africa in an unofficial tour before the series against Zimbabwe. The tourists will play a 3-dayer alongside two one day matches against the Proteas.
The second string team will play three one day and two four-dayers against Zimbabwe
