Bus Owners Association of the district yesterday morning enforced an indefinite bus strike protesting vandalism of a bus at Shapla in Ujirpur upazila.
Aftab Uddin Ahmed, president of the Bus Owners' Association, said miscreants on Wednesday evening vandalised a bus as they failed to collect extortion from the driver. They also demanded immediate arrest and exemplary punishment of the attackers. Bus communication of 15 internal routs with Barisal and other parts of the country remained suspended since morning.
