Freedom fighters hold demonstrations demanding job quota

Freedom fighters and their dependents in Barishal city yesterday staged protests forming a human chain and demanded government job quota for them.
A human-chain under the banner of Muktijoddha Sangsad Barishal district command and Amra Muktijoddhar Santan command held demonstrations in the citys Sadar road with Sheikh Kutub Uddin, district Muktijoddha commander in the chair. Enayet Hosen Chowdury, Mukhlesur Rahman, MG Kabir Bhulu, Syed Anisur Rahman, among others, spoke on the occasion.
Hundreds of freedom fighters and their dependents joined the event.
The freedom fighters have said a section of anti-liberation force is trying to do away with their names and holding so-called stir in the name of quota reforms. They also threatened to start a stronger movement to save the quotas for the freedom fighters.
A procession was brought out from Sadar Road and it moved along the citys main roads. The freedom fighters later submitted a memorandum to the deputy commissioner of Barishal.
