Woman ‘commits suicide’ under train

NILPHAMARI: A woman allegedly committed suicide by jumping under a train at Belaichandi in sadar upazila on Thursday, reports UNB. The deceased was identified as Begum, 35, wife of Maksud and mother of two children of Belaichandi area. Begum had been suffering from different diseases and leading a miserable life due to poverty, said Lutfur Rahman, officer-in-charge of Railway Police. Begum jumped off under the wheels of Rajshahi-bound 'Titumir Express' in a bid to commit suicide around 6:30 am. On information, Railway police recovered the body and sent it to Sadar Hospital morgue.
