Chittagong Development Authority (CDA) yesterday signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Engineering Division of Bangladesh Army to implement ‘Canal re-excavation, extension, renovation and development to solve waterlogging in Chittagong city’ involving Tk 5,616 crore.
In a programme at a hotel in the port city CDA signed the MoU with Bangladesh Army for the implementation of the largest project to address the waterlogging problem of the port city.
On behalf of Bangladesh Army Lt Col Shahriar Ahmed and Superintendent Engineer Hasan Bin Shams signed the MoU from their respective side while CDA Chairman Abdus Salam and Chittagong City Corporation Mayor AJM Nasir Uddin were present.
