On the occasion of celebrating the Bangla New Year 1425, Bengal Foundation is organising a four-day Baishakh celebration in the capital. The musical event titled ‘Poran Bhori Dao’ will be taking place everyday at 7pm from April 12 to 15 on the premises of Bengal Boi located in the capital’s Lalmatia area.
The festival will kick off with a group sarod recital by the students of Bengal Parampara at 7pm on April 12. Hasan Arif will recite poems and Sharmin Sathi Islam will present Pancha Kabir Gan (songs of five poets).
Popular band Joler Gaan will perform on the second day, while the third day will include daylong performance of flute and songs by Pathik Baul.
Halima Parvin and Bhojon Baul will perform folk music on the concluding day on April 15.
