Cancelation of fake certificate demanded

A local forum of freedom fighters made a demand yesterday to cancel freedom fighter certificate of a person in Pirojpur claiming that the man's claim of being a freedom fighter was not authentic, reports UNB.

Addressing a press conference at National Press Club yesterday, the leaders of Ikri Union Parishad Muktijoddha Commando of Bhandaria upazila of Pirojpur demanded to withdraw, what they dubbed, a 'fake' freedom fighter's recognition given to one Shorab Hossain Bepari.

They alleged, in the period of 1996 to 2001 Bepari managed a freedom fighter certificate showing fake documents and their organisation has already placed a complaint in this regard to Liberation War Affairs Ministry and Anti-Corruption Commission

Several members of the organisation including Badrul Alam Howladar, Mawlana Sultan, Sultan Ahamed were present at the programme.
