Bangladesh Women National Football team’s captain Sabina Khatun kept her scoring spree in the Indian Women’s League when she scored at least one goal in four matches in a row.
After scoring two goals in the first two matches, she scored two goals in last two matches to, taking her tally to six goals in four matches.
However her two goals yesterday steered her team Sethu FC to defeat Indira Gandhi Academy by 3-1.
By virtue of winning the match Sethu FC moved into the semifinal, with one match to go. Her team will play their last league match against Eastern Sporting Union tomorrow and if they can win the game, they will be the table toppers in the group.
Indomathi, captain of Sethu FC led the team on 27th minute but Prodipa of Indira Gandhi Academy leveled it seven minutes later and the first half was ended on 1-1 when the match looked heading to draw but Sabina came on fire to score successive two goals to lead the team to 3-1 victory.
Sabina restored the lead on 75th minute and six minutes later doubled her score and the third of the match to seal the victory.
