The High Court yesterday granted interim bail to seven leaders of Trade Union Centre (TUC) of garment workers in a case filed over attacking and assaulting officials and employees of Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA) on January 31, reports UNB.
The HC bench of Justice M Enayetur Rahim and Justice Sahidul Karim passed the order.
The seven leaders are-- TUC general secretary Joly Talukder, organising secretary K M Mintu, international secretary Monjur Moin, Bangladesh Communist Party (CPB) central committee member Sajedur Rahman Shamim, TUC Gazipur district unit general secretary Jalal Howlader, Savar-Ashulia unit president Lutfor Rahman and TUC central committee member Mohammad Shahjahan. Earlier on April 1, a Dhaka court sent them to jail after rejecting their bail in the case.
