CJ asks lawyers to pursue drugs related cases carefully

Chief Justice of Supreme Court Surendra Kumar Sinha said abuse of drugs is alarmingly spreading in the country and destroying the young generations. But most offenders manage to secure release from drug related cases, he said. He urged lawyers to play their role carefully while they are engaged in drug smuggling and drugs peddling cases. The CJ made the call at a discussion held at Khagrachhari Bar Association as a chief guest. Convener of Khagrachhari Bar Association Advocate Ashutosh Chakma chaired the programme. He urged the lawyers to work sincerely aiming to establish rule of law in the country. The CJ called for developing relation between lawyers and judges, lawyers and clients and lawyers and masses. Member-secretary of Khagrachhari Bar Association Advocate Abul Hossain, Senior Advocate Nasir Uddin, Advocate Khurshid Alam, Advocate Ali Nur spoke among others.
