Natore: Three accused in the case for killing Mohammad Tanvir, a student of Ashraful Ulum Madrassa in the district, have given their confessional statement before magistrate on Wednesday, reports UNB. Superintendent of Police Shyamol Kumar Mukharjee said the two madrassa students Bayejid and Naim were taken to the court on Wednesday afternoon. Senior Judicial Magistrate Anamul Haque Bashunia recorded their statement for three hours from 5pm to 8pm. They narrated the story of the murder in their statement. Earlier, Bayezid and Hossain and their friend Naim called Tanvir to their room on the night of August 25. They slaughtered Tanvir and kept the body in the septic tank.Later, they demanded Tk5 lakh as ransom money from Tanvir’s father.Tanvir’s father filed a general diary in this connection with Sadar Police Station and informed Rapid Action Battalion. Members of Rab-5 arrested Bayezid by tracking his mobile phone. After interrogation, Bayezid confessed his involvement in the murder and gave information about two other murderers. Following his information, the elite force recovered the body from the septic tank around 11:30am. They also arrested Hossain and Naim in connection with the murder.
