Musical evening at Chhayanaut tomorrow

Swadhin Bangla Betar Kendra (Free Bengal Radio Centre), the only radio broadcasting centre of Bengali nationalist forces during the Bangladesh Liberation War in 1971, played a vital role in the liberation struggle, broadcasting the Declaration of Independence and increasing mental state of Bangladeshis during the war. Besides, patriotic and inspiring songs rendered by young vocals had become the key weapon of Bangladeshis who had been waiting for their long-cherished freedom.

In the light of the spirit of the Liberation War, veteran singer of Swadhin Bangla Betar Kendra Rathindranath Roy will perform at a musical evening titled ‘Praner Khela’, organised by Bengal Foundation, at the Chhayanaut auditorium in the capital’s Dhanmondi tomorrow.
