Serious irregularities unveiled in primary education

I have been an avid reader of the Weekend Independent for a long time now and many of my family members like it as well. I was going through the article ‘Serious irregularities unveiled in Primary Education’ by Masum Billah. The article talked about the Education Watch 2014 report, which says that  students and their families did not rely only on classroom teachings or even school-based coaching. Private tutoring has spread to all types of primary educational institutions and socio-economic groups, both in urban and rural areas.  Some examinees, supported directly or indirectly by teachers and examination organisers, were intent on scoring high marks at any cost. They tend to adopt malpractices and unethical behaviour as not enough preventive and punitive measures are taken against such practices. To me personally this came as a shock, because I was under the impression that the introduction of Primary School Certificate (PSC) the stander of education must have increased. But to my surprise education at the primary level has become exam-centric instead of learning-centric, and dependent on guidebooks and coaching centres, increasing the cost of education, according to the article. I believe the parents and the concern authorities must take this matter seriously and find a solution to this.

Marketing versus Supply Chain and some contemporary issues…

Strong economical condition is one of the vibrant ways of a country to its development. And for that the business condition of the country is very important. If we observe the developed countries, we will see those countries are very successful and strong in business. Bangladesh got independence in 1971, around 44 years have past. But still the country is not developed. Whereas, there are lots of opportunities and potentialities in this country. These opportunities and potentialities can be utilised in a proper way. For that, there need proper research and practice of business. Entrepreneurs should compete with the global icons. And also I believe, different types of writing regarding business topics are needed to be published in the media. Recently The Independent newspaper has published an article on its weekend magazine titled ‘Marketing versus Supply Chain and some contemporary issues’. I read that eagerly and I think this type of writing is needed for the development of the condition of business in this country.
