Discussion on Sadarghat development held
A discussion meeting on development of Sadarghat was held in Sadarghat in the capital yesterday. Shipping Minister Shajahan Khan was present at the meeting as chief guest.
Addressing the discussion, the minister claimed that no accident was occurred in the last three years. So, he warned the launch drivers for not going competition during driving.
He further said No irregularity will be tolerated. Everyone has to abide by the rules given by the government. We have fixed the system in Sadarghat by the instructions of the Prime Minister.
He also said strict action would be taken against persons responsible for creating obstacle in launch movement in Sadarghat terminal. M Mozammel Haque, Chairman of BIWTA, chaired the meeting. Acting shipping ministry secretary Md Abdus Samad, ministrys additional secretary Volanath Dey and BIWTC chairman Mofizul Huq were present at the meeting, among others. Joint director (port) AKM Arif Uddin conducted the function.
