Comilla: A day after an assistant teacher of a high school in Burichang upazila was manhandled reportedly by five students for shifting the classroom of Class-IX girls, its headmaster was assaulted allegedly by one of them on Tuesday, reports UNB.
Locals said five Class-X students of Nimsar High School, including Md Halim, Md Shaheen, Md Jobayer and Md Jihad, used to harass the female students of Class-IX of the school.
After coming to know about the matter, school authorities had warned them and shifted the classroom of the girls.
Angered at the decision, the students beat Amir Hossain, an assistant teacher of the school, on Monday last, leaving him injured.
The school committee called a meeting for Saturday next for taking action against the responsible students.
However, on Tuesday, Halim swooped on headmaster Abdul Haque at his office and physically assaulted him.
He left the spot after other teachers rushed in sensing the incident.
