Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) will send their five-member security team to Pakistan for inspecting the security situation of the country on September 5 ahead of the much-talked Bangladesh women’s cricket team’s tour.
The board meanwhile formed a four-member security team with a directorate general of forces intelligence official, a national security intelligence officer and an additional deputy inspector general of police alongside BCB chief security officer Major Hossain Imam. With them, defence attache from Bangladesh embassy to Pakistan will join from there.
“Today I talked with them. The inspection team will visit in Karachi and Lahore during their stay in Pakistan. They will look after every security matter from landing at Airport to returning home,” BCB president Nazmul Hassan Papon yesterday said.
On the basis of security team’s report, the board will take the final decision to send the national women’s cricket team to Pakistan.
