Withdrawal of gas, power price hike demanded

Bangladesh Sanjukta Sramik Federation (BSSF) yesterday demanded immediate withdrawal of the government decision of gas and power price hike, reports UNB.
BSSF came up with the demand from a human chain in front of Jaitya Press Club.
Chaired by BSSF acting president Mosaddek Hossain organization’s general secretary Waresul Hassan, federation leader Harunur Rashid Bhuiyan, Mahbubul Alam Talukdar, among others, also spoke on the occasion.
Terming the decision of increasing gas and electricity price as inhuman Mosaddek Hossain said how workers and low income group will survive who have already been struggling to pay for their essential commodities and services.
Waresul Hassan said this decision will increase the prices of every commodities and services as the government can’t control profit earning mentality of the businessmen.
Speakers also said if there is not demand fulfilled they would lay seize to the Energy Ministry.
