100 marks for liberation war related question in BCS examinations

Liberation War Affairs Minister A.K.M. Mozammel Haque said on Tuesday that Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) examinations would have 100 marks questions on the country’s 1971 liberation war as  learning process for the future government officials, reports BSS.
“School textbooks will also have the history of war criminals. Many BCS examinees do not know about liberation war” the minister was addressing a discussion as the chief guest on 40th anniversary of martyrdom of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman at Bangladesh Chemi-cal Industries Corporation (BCIC) auditorium in the capital.
The discussion was organized by Bangladesh Freedom Fighter Institutional Command all Units Coordination Council while Shipping Minister Shahjahan Khan was addressing as the keynote speaker.
“The retirement age of freedom fighters in government service should be 65 years. But it depends on the court,” the liberation minister said.
The Shipping Minister said “Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman always wanted the welfare of the common people. His target was not to become the Prime Minister although people made him so by electing him massively in the 1970 election.” Among others, vice chairman of Freedom Fighter council Ismat Kadir Gama and president of labour league of power sector Alauddin Mia were present on the occasion.
